< return to list
Signup Deadline: 11-01-2023
Starts: 11-02-2023
Ends: 11-02-2023
Location: Online Opportunity

Description:

Time Commitment: 10 to 24 hours over a 4 to 6-week period; exact hours will be determined based on grant type and applications received. Reviewers will attend one full-day virtual meeting in March.

When work is performed: January – March 2023, online

What a Grant Application Reviewer Does: Review and score R&E Foundation grant applications based on an NIH-style study section review format. Meet virtually with other grant reviewers and Study Section leadership to discuss and present preliminary scores and review summary. Reviewers will provide blinded feedback to applicants.

R&E Grants are available for medical students, residents and fellows, junior faculty, independent investigators, and radiology educators.

Grant descriptions can be reviewed here: www.rsna.org/research/funding-opportunities

Experience Required: Expertise in one of the radiology subspecialty areas with an interest in research or education (depending on grant type). Previous grant funding and participation as an investigator/co-investigator on an externally or internally funded project helpful, prior R&E grant recipient a plus, but not necessary. Reviewers will indicate which grant type(s) they are best suited for and interested in reviewing on the volunteer application.

Selection Process: R&E Study Section leadership and R&E Grant Program Committee Chair will review applications. The number of individuals selected will be based on grant applications submitted, how many individuals are needed, and area of expertise needed for each subspecialty/modality.
