Description:

 Detailed description of the work to be done:

a.       Attend RSNA annual meeting in Chicago.

b.       Act as RSNA ambassador to veteran exhibitors and welcome new first-time exhibitors. 

c.       Assist RSNA Technical Exhibits Committee in monitoring the Technical Exhibits for two 2-hour shifts to ensure that participating companies are compliant with RSNA exhibitor rules and regulations.  

d.       Communicate assessment & feedback to RSNA staff and Technical Exhibits Committee Chair.

e.       Participate in a one-hour virtual orientation meeting prior to annual meeting.

Is it reoccurring or one-time only? One-time only

It is online or in-person? In-Person, McCormick Place, 2301 S King Dr, Chicago, IL 

When will the work be performed? During RSNA 2024 annual meeting, December 1-4, in Chicago.

How much time will be involved?  Five total hours.  Two 2-hour hall monitoring shifts onsite at McCormick Place during the open hours in the exhibit halls, December 1-4; and a one-hour virtual orientation meeting on Tuesday, November 26, 10:30 am.

What special experience or expertise will be needed? 

a.       Excellent interpersonal skills with outgoing personality, good listening skills, and willingness to interact with exhibitor personnel. 

b.       Curiosity in pursuit of new products and service solutions. 

c.       Motivated by interest for increasing knowledge about vendors and exhibiting companies. 

d.       Prior RSNA attendance is preferred but not a requirement.   

What is the process for selecting qualified volunteers?  Interested qualified volunteers will be identified via RSNA leadership, volunteers, and submissions through the RSNA short-term volunteering portal. Radiology specialty of practice/interest will be considered to provide knowledge-diversity across all volunteers. All interested members, including medical students, are encouraged to apply.
