Time Committment: Reviewing a new CDE may take a few hours to a few days if collaborating with other reviewers. This opportunity can be reoccurring or a single opportunity. A volunteer can contribute one or more CDEs in their area of specialty. The work is conducted entirely online.
About Common Data Elements (CDEs)
Common Data Elements (CDEs) are standardized sets of questions and allowable answers used to express observations in diagnoses. The goal is to continue to grow the current collection of CDEs and to eventually include a comprehensive library covering different specialties and use cases.
About the Project:
This is an ongoing project that involves collaboration in the formal review of existing and new CDEs for clinical content, consistency and useability.
Qualifications:
Radiologists experienced in their respective subspecialties with an ability to evaluate CDEs with the goal of enhancing radiology reporting, data analysis and decision support.
Selection Process:
Common Data Element (CDE) Steering Committee members will evaluate interested volunteers from RSNA’s membership, or the membership of subspecialty societies.
Number of Volunteers Needed: We do not have a limitation of how many volunteers can participate. The review process has begun with the 13 CDE Committee members as well as the Neuro review with 31 volunteers.
